“Winter Mon Amour”, a warm and soft sweater for freezing cold days!
While temperature is under zero, there’s no better way to get warm knitting this new top-down sweater, designed by Maria Grazia Berno.

Swatch:
17 stitches in 24 rows worked with stockinette stitch = cm 10×10, measured after blocking.
Material:
Yarn: Amore 160 by Borgo de’Pazzi (70% Merino wool, 25% Polyammide, 2% Viscose, 2% Acrylic, 1% Polyester – 160 m. in 50 g.): 350 gr.

Circular needles nr.5 with 80 cm cable
Short pins circular needles nr.5 with 40 cm cable.
4 stitch markers, one of which of different color in order to mark the beginning of the round.
Row counter.
Stitches&abbreviations:
K: Knit
P: Purl
Ct4: Lace rib stitch
k2tog: knit 2 together
ssk: slip 1 stitch, slip a second one, bring them back onto the left needle and knit them through the back loop.
M1L: make 1 left (increase)
M1R: make 1 right (increase)
M: Stitch Marker.
PM: place stitch marker.
SM: Slip stitch marker.
RM: Remove stitch marker.
Lace ribbing in the round:
Round 1: *k2tog, y/o 2, ssk, p2*.
Round 2: *k1, in the double y/o knit first in the back loop and then in the front loop, k1, p2*.
Round 3: *y/o 1, ssk, k2tog, y/o 1, p2*.
Round 4: *k4, p2*.
Repeat Round 1 to 4.
Lace ribbing worked in rows:

With the short pins and 40 cm cable cast on 96 stitches and close in the round: place a stitch marker at the beginning of the round and work the foundation round as follows:

Now we start working the neckline in forward and back pass. Go on now working lace ribbing in rows.

Yoke with raglan increases every second round (odd rounds, front side of the work):
Round 1: M1L, SM, *p2, ct4, p2, M1R, k till the next M, M1L, SM, p2, ct4, p2, M1R, k till the next M*, repeat from * to * once again.
Round 2: SM, *p2, ct4, p2, k till the nextM, SM, p2, ct4, p2, k till the nextM*, repeat from * to *once again.
Round 3 through Round 52: repeat Round 1 and Round 2.
Change the needles using now the long tips and 80 cm cable as soon as the quantity of the stitches allows it.
SEPARATION OF SLEEVES:
Round 53: *SM, p2, k2, move 72 stitches on a helping yarn/cable removing the M. Cast on 6 stitches, k2, p2, k till the next M*, repeat from * to *once again.
Bust:
Round 54: SM (beginning Round),p2, k4, p2, k4, p2, k88, p2, k4, p2, k4, p2, k88.
Round 55: keep on working on the given indications working the lace ribbing on the 14 stitches of the hips (starting from Round 1), till Round 126.
Round 127: starting from M, work the whole round in Lace. Go on this way for the next 30 rounds.
Round 157: Bind off.
Sleeves:
Start working again the 72 stitches you put previously on hold on the helping yarn/cable as follows:
Foundation Round: cast on 3 stitches, k 72 stitches which were previously put on hold, cast on 3 stitches, PM centre of the bottom of the sleeve(in total you will have 78 stitches).
Round 1 to Round 5: k.
Round 6: k1, k2tog, till 3 stitches before M, ssk, k1.
Round 7 to Round 54: repeat from Round 1 to Round 6 (8 times).
Round 55 to Round 60: k (60 stitches).
Round 61 to Round 90: work 30 rounds with Lace ribbing , then bind off all stitches.
FINISHING
Sew the sleeves. Weave the ends in Wet, block and then wear it!
